May 13th – Adwick Washland
Spring birds and flowers. (2-3 hours)
Meet 10.30am in the car-park on Common Lane, Wath upon Dearne,
Rotherham, S63 7DX
This wetland is one of the chain of reserves managed by the RSPB in the Dearne Valley and it should be well worth investigation. breeding birds include avocet and lapwing,
The car park is on Furlong Lane between Wath and Harlington
June 10th – Thorpe Marsh
Wildflowers and insects. (2-3 hours).
Meet 10.30 a.m at Norwood Gate, Forstead Lane, DN5 0LN (SE595088)
This sits alongside the site of the decommissioned Thorpe Marsh Power Station and is managed by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. Small patches of woodland, wetland areas and disused raiway embankments provide habitats for many species.
July 15th – Epworth Turbary Nature Reserve, Lincolnshire
Insects, flowers and birds. (2-3 hours)
Meet 10.30am at the reserve centre car-park, Wroot Road, Epworth, Lincs.
This reserve is quite special in covering an area of lowland raised bog. It is managed by the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and contains many plants and insects of interest. Dragonflies and damselflies should be out in good numbers for this visit.
August 12th – Fitzwilliam Country Park

We are visiting this reclaimed colliery site for the first time. The area contains meadow and woodland and is good for wildflowers and insects.
